What is a good, fast, efficient way to earn bunches of credits in Halo: Reach?

I’ve had Halo: Reach since the afternoon it came out, i’ve xbox 360 Live, and I’m only a Warrant Officer quality 3. I’m sick of hearing my buddy brag about his Commander quality 1, and how he actually carries a lifestyle (if that’s believable). So, and I do use a life, and therefore does he, I just want a means to generate a perfect amount of credits. Best answer goes to whoever answers with in all probability the most efficient solution!

Playing online multi-player is really the fastest way to rank up, but if you don’t play enough, you tend to get owned by all the people who do nothing but play all day long. Wait till you are older, and let’s face it, we do slow down, try going on line then, whew!!!!!

Boosting / exploiting the credit system will get your credits reset, so the only thing I could think of is play lots of multiplayer (especially Big Team Battle). Make sure you play with good players as winning the round makes you acquire more credits.

To do it legitimately, try and play in styles you don’t always play in. So I prefer using plasma pistols, DMR etc, so I’m now working on using sniping weapons or automatic weapons more. This increases my lower level commendations, and you get bundles of cR for improving them.
You can play through the campaign on harder levels with skulls on (and score attack) to ramp them up. I’ve also heard that playing the Arena or Rumble Pit game types helps rake in the credits!
