   without xbox live play campaign on a high difficulty. also while playing campaign try to get awards through double kills, triple kills ect, that will get you more credits.    There are a number of ways to farm credits. Due to me not wanting to list every one, (at work, kinda tired), I will give a very easy and very successfull method.

   On Oni:Sword base, load heroic, run past all the enemies until you get to a large door (it later opens to two wraiths shooting at you), there will be armour locks and a target locater to the left. Try and lure the enemies closer until they are grouped together, then back up until your back is against the large door, this will force a checkpoint. Use the locater, mangle the poor covenant, reload last save, rinse and repeat. If you don’t have many commendations already this will generate massive amounts of credits.

   1) Credit Farming on sword base with the target locator

   3) Cheat the challenge system and get baned

   I would use a mix of 1 & 2 till your commendations in campaign and firefight become onyx but its a cheap, quick, effortless way to gain XP
